Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This page explains what data is processed when you use lordstools.com, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws.
1. Who is responsible (data controller)
This website is operated by the operator of lordstools.com (the "we" on this page). For any question or request about your data, contact:
LordsTools is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Lords Mobile or IGG, and no data is shared with them.
2. The short version
- There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms on this site, and we store nothing about you on our own servers.
- The calculators save their state (your inputs and settings) only in your own browser, so the tools remember them next time. That stored data is never uploaded anywhere.
- If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner, your use of the site is measured with Google Analytics. This includes how you interact with the tools, such as which items and amounts you enter into the calculators (see section 4 for exactly what is sent).
- You can decline analytics entirely, and every tool works exactly the same.
3. Data stored in your browser (local storage)
The site uses your browser's local storage — not cookies — to remember functional things between visits:
- your language choice and whether you dismissed the language suggestion banner;
- the state of the calculators: selected items and quantities, troop compositions, rates and display settings, so your work is still there when you come back.
These values stay on your device. The site does not read them back to a server, and they are not shared with anyone. Because this storage is strictly necessary for features you actively use, it does not require consent (Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, "functional" exemption) — and it keeps working even if you decline analytics. You can erase it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Shared shopping-list links encode the list in the link itself (the part after #). That data
is never sent to our server; it is only read by the browser of whoever opens the link.
4. Analytics cookies — only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which tools are useful and how they are used. Analytics runs only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner (managed by CookieYes with Google Consent Mode). If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are sent. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
What is sent when you consent
- Pages and navigation: the pages you view and their language, and which tools, monsters or languages you select in the site's menus and banners.
- Tool interactions: events describing how you use the calculators — for example items added to or removed from a gem-gifting list with their quantities and gem values, the gem rate you set, whether prices are shown, and when a list is copied, shared, or opened from a shared link.
- Standard Google Analytics data: a random cookie identifier (e.g. the
_gacookie), approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser information.
To be clear about what this data is not:
- it is tied to a random identifier, not your name or email — we have no way to know who you are;
- it is not used for advertising, and we never sell or rent any data;
- the dollar values in the calculators are in-game planning numbers — no real payments happen on this site and no purchase tracking exists.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via Cookie Settings or the floating cookie icon in the corner of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
5. Third-party services
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics / Tag Manager (Google LLC) |
Usage statistics (consent-gated, see section 4) | The events described in section 4, your IP address, device and browser information |
| CookieYes | Shows the consent banner and remembers your choice (in the cookieyes-consent cookie) |
Your IP address and browser information when the banner script loads; your consent choice |
6. Server logs
Like virtually every website, the server that hosts lordstools.com keeps standard access logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser type. We use them only to keep the site secure and running (legal basis: legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider and then deleted; they are not combined with analytics data.
7. International transfers
Google LLC is based in the United States. Transfers of personal data to Google are covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. CookieYes processes consent data under equivalent safeguards.
8. How long data is kept
- Local storage: on your device until you clear it.
- Consent choice: the CookieYes cookie expires after the period shown in the banner's cookie details, after which you are asked again.
- Analytics: Google Analytics retains event data according to its configured retention period, after which it is deleted automatically.
- Server logs: short-term rotation by the hosting provider.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@lordstools.com. One honest caveat: because analytics data is tied to a random cookie identifier and nothing else, we usually cannot link it to you personally — the most effective way to remove yourself from analytics is to withdraw consent (section 4) and clear this site's cookies and data in your browser.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children and knowingly collects no data from them; the only data processing is what is described above, for all visitors alike.
11. Changes to this policy
If the site's data handling changes — for example if a new tool or service is added — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Significant changes will be visible in the consent banner where relevant.
